Camp Adventures is thrilled to announce An Hour for Dubai, a city-wide volunteer initiative that aims to involve Dubai’s citizens and residents
in a heart-warming community service experience. Through it, we intend to develop a broader gateway to volunteerism in the United Arabs Emirates; promoting social responsibility, environmental preservation, and patriotism.
About An Hour for Dubai
An Hour for Dubai is simply a part of a wider scope of volunteer-led initiatives in the UAE. But it is a pivotal part, particularly thanks to the extensive experience of Camp Adventures’ team in volunteerism. Moreover, their passion and expertise drive the initiative forward, aiming to create a meaningful impact.
Derived by passion and expertise, we yearn to steer the community towards activities of mutual benefit, for the individual and society at large.
Thus, to achieve this vision, the initiative has two major goals:
- Environmental Preservation: Beach cleanups, tree planting, and wildlife conservation activities to protect and sustain natural resources available in Dubai.
- Social Support: Opportunities for volunteers to assist marginalized groups through community welfare projects.
An Hour for Dubai is meant to bring small communities together, promote sustainable practices, and ensure a long-lasting impact within Dubai.
Objectives of An Hour for Dubai
The initiative goes hand in hand with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and, as a result, aims to do the following:
- Promote Volunteerism: Encourage individuals and organizations to participate in community service.
- Environmental Preservation: Protect natural ecosystems in Dubai and restore their ecological functions.
- Social Responsibility: Alleviation of disadvantaged individuals and foster inclusion within the community.
- Strengthen Community Partnerships: Build collaboration between individuals, organizations, and institutions to achieve sustainable development goals.
How to Get Involved
Registration for An Hour for Dubai will soon be available for individuals and organizations at Camp Adventures’ website (www.campadventures.ae). In addition, participants will gain access to all necessary resources to ensure a seamless experience.
Participants will have an opportunity to:
- Gain fulfillment and connection to the community.
- Contribute to meaningful environmental and social projects.
- Connect with other like-minded individuals in a constructive, self-functioning environment.
